GIANT'S CAUSEWAY

It was raining cats and dogs, but we went down the bus to visit a monument. A monument? But if it was just a big group of weird stones! Irish people say it’s a Giant’s place. In fact, it’s really difficult to climb those sort of big steps, especially when they are so wet.
We had read some texts about this place, so we thought about its possible interest. But, we do recognize it was much better than what so many texts and pictures show. UNESCO and many other organizations protect this part of Ireland since 1986. Weird stone steps are red hexagonal basalt columns, as the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. We advise everybody to visit this place. We felt as if we were little children. There were lots of indications “be careful with wet stones”, “no help in this place”… However, Uxío climbed thousands of columns just with the idea of taking good photographs…
The story finished with a very strong noise of a storm when we were leaving this place. Imagination? No, believe me, I was scared.

  1. é de ver para crer porque sen dúbida algunha poder tocar e pisar estas pedras tan "ben deseñadas" é ben difícil que as palabras e a cámara cara capte o que realmente é esta realidade.
